Tsing Tao Beer Chocolate

Last December 2011, I joined a so called winter study tour in Shandong, China. We went to Tsing Tao beer factory and got the chance to drink beer woohoooo!!! I bought some Tsing Tao chocolate beer for me and my relatives as a “pasalubong” (which is a Filipino term for “souvenir”)

Personally I could say that I have a sweet tooth. I love eating sweets, especially chocolates. I just can’t live without them. That is why the product that I will show to you grabbed my attention during our tour in the factory. Each case cost 30 Yuan (China currency) which is equivalent to more or less 200 Pesos (Philippine currency).

There are twelve pieces of beer chocolate in one case.

Back in time, I have already tried this kind of chocolate with liquor inside. I bought it from Duty Free here in the Philippines, unfortunately I forgot the brand. It was good and pretty strong. So I was as expecting much from this….

Exciting!!!

I bit the tip off to let you see the liquor inside. The smell of the chocolate gave me goosebumps. However, the taste of the chocolate didn't taste like what I was expecting it to be. It didn't satisfy my taste buds (lol).

When I ate the whole thing I didn’t get what I was expecting. It doesn’t taste like beer!!! It just tastes like syrup.

Despite it, I decided to give the chocolate another chance. Maybe it has a different flavor or there’s something wrong with that piece. So I tried another one… and the result…

I still got the same result, DISAPPOINTMENT haha
